Description

Retatrutide (LY3437943) is a synthetic polypeptide investigational compound developed by Eli Lilly and Company, functioning as a triple agonist at glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor (GLP-1R), glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide receptor (GIPR), and glucagon receptor (GCGR). Co-agonism at all three incretin-related receptors is hypothesised to elicit additive or synergistic effects on energy homeostasis and lipid metabolism in preclinical in vitro assay systems. Phase II clinical trial data (NCT05582538, results published 2023 in the New England Journal of Medicine) documented changes in relevant metabolic biomarkers in enrolled human subjects; however, all mechanistic in vitro findings should be interpreted independently of clinical outcomes and do not constitute evidence of efficacy for any application. Approximate molecular weight: 4,687 Da. Supplied as lyophilised powder; reconstitute with bacteriostatic water prior to use. For in vitro research use only — not for human or veterinary administration.

Research FAQ

What is the storage recommendation for this compound?

Store lyophilised powder at -20°C for long-term storage. Once reconstituted, store at 4°C and use within 30 days. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Is a certificate of analysis available?

Yes. Certificates of analysis as supplied by our manufacturer are published in our COA library by batch number — match the batch number on your vial label to its certificate.

What reconstitution solution is recommended for laboratory use?

For in vitro research applications, bacteriostatic water (0.9% benzyl alcohol) is the standard reconstitution medium. Sterile saline may also be appropriate depending on the research protocol.
